I decided to go out to back fence with receiver and count bats last night coming out of my 2 houses. They just kept coming out of both houses. Took 15 or more minutes, but I could see the houses easily with clear sky hehind them. I got 421 last night..It is strange , but we still have warm wx and lots of mosquito's here in NW LA..Maybe others are migrating thru and found my houses. My peak in April was 240...Interesting...Ham bands been good too!!!!

I went out tonight and counted my bats on exit. Number was 11. I shined a light up into the houses and plenty of bats were left that did not exit.
I think they are conserving energy by flying less. I believe they will be leaving soon for hibernation. I took photos this week and counted about 50 total. I usually have 200 about this time.

I counted again tonight. Was cool here tonight. Temp 59F...I got around 470 till too dark and couldn't hear them any more on receiver up in house. Was at least that many ..They came out from 6:45 till 7:08..Then just too dark...Randy Haughton,La
