Test.... that's weird. It does work with this one...? I thought Google was overall OK, but Google Video works strange... Maybe it is has to do with my Google Video settings....
Testing with the flash button (added =320,256) and then the URL between the Flash tags.
yoho! I get it! For everyone who wants to put a Google Video in a post and it does not work with the google-video button, try the following:
Go to your Video in Google Video. Click on the "Embed Video" button on the right of the screen and copy the code. Then go back to your post-editor and hit the Flash button. Paste the code between the Flash-tags. In the code there is a bit that says style="width:300px;height:244px. Change your first flash tag into flash=300,244. The delete everything in the code except the bit that starts with "http:// and ends with fs-true". That's it. My video works that way. If you want a different view (smaller / bigger) you can change that into: 250,203 (smaller) or 400,326 (bigger).
Fantistic! It certainly involved more steps and editing than YouTube but if you already have google videos you wish to post at least there are now two approaches to try with the google-button by entering the 19 number ID only between the google-video tags or by using the Flash button and entering code as we have described within. I'm personally going to use youtube. YOUTUBE now has HD widescreen 16:9 aspect ratios that is why you see black bars on the side of most of the videos. There are a number of new small and compact digital cameras out now in the $200-500 price range which have HD 16:9 movies/videos with image stabilization. So Youtube is ready for that. Also since You-tube is owned by google $$ it is unlikely to go under and is much easier since you just have to cutNpaste the URL given to the right of the video and place that between the You-tube button video tags which consistently work. Finally as previously mentioned, it is a good idea to place the URL of your video separately as well by using the URL button in the post as well as a backup and additional choice.
