second bats of 2010

I checked my unvented bat house tonight with a flashlight and saw movement. This house is in the same location it was last year on a metal pole in the back yard. I got my camera, and while the shot is not great it clearly shows some bats.
From the color, I would say they are the freetails paying me a visit. Tomorrows forecast is for snow/rain with a high of 36
and a low in the 20s. These freetails have a real attachment to my houses and some were born here last summer. I am very pleased as they are not common here in my area. I relocated two houses and hope the little brown nursery colony will use them in the new locations.

I checked the bat house again a little after midnight last night after it had started to rain and the house was empty. It
did snow today here but the temp stayed warm enough so that not much stuck to the ground. Tonight I checked the house about 8PM and there was one large dark bat in it which I believe is a big brown. It looks like the same kind of bat that visited a few days in January. The temp for tonight is forecast to be 29F. It is supposed to get into the mid 60s this weekend so I will be anxious to see what shows up after several days of warmer weather. Does anyone else have bats yet?
