A few years ago a member of our bat work group ask me to make designs and building instructions for a few large bat houses. They made five bat houses of which a few have been used by small groups of Common Pipistrelle bats (Pipistrellus pipistrellus). Not a great film, but always nice to see the bats emerging from a bat house.

Erik, nice video! Is that a brick wall the bat house is mounted to? Does the masonry work as a heat sink to help attract bats in your area?
