Great Joe,

Keep us posted on this one! What was the total weight without the pole?

weight

Total weight was/is less than 65 lbs. with each of 3 pieces around 20 lbs. I was using an old scale however. Will get more precise weight when I finish building megagrocket 2 of 2 which I hope to get up by this fall at a local site for closer monitoring. cheers Joe....

Thanks Joe,

Installing the house in sections makes a lot of sense rather than trying to raise a heavy house all at once.

I have been trying to think of a way to create a concrete bat house, with some type of form or mold installed at the top of a pole. You would just climb the ladder with a small bucket of mix and pour the liquid concrete mix in small batches until the form was filled, then attach the roof.

It would be difficult to get it down, however with all the weight.

Cheers,

Mark
