As most of you know I am a Union Pipefitter/HVACR Technician. The winter doldrums have set in and I got laid-off. Aaargh! At least I banked alot of hours this year and have a good savings account to keep my family going.

Not sure if you are working out of hall or not but consider nuclear work. At least at my plant(in alabama) there has been shortage of good pipefitters last few outages. General slots are filled out of pipefitter halls and they have to go outside hall to fill or at least have been doing that last few years. Don't know if this will help or not. Good luck

Nate, sorry to hear that! But now you can dive into those bat house projects! I have the game commission coming tomorrow to pick up lumber for another condo this spring!

Well, being laid-off didn't last long. I am going back to work on Tuesday doing 10 hour weekdays and 8 hours on Saturday. LOL, I kinda wanted to get some bat house projects done over the next three weeks, but the winter working doldrums didn't hold out long enough. And now I will be working a whole lot of hours again...ugh!
