I am building house now for spring set up.

Have lot of bugs.
Not much open space except around house.

Welcome Sag yes get it up now before spring then you don't have to worry about bad weather in the spring when bats arrive. And BTW in the future post good questions like this in the GENERAL BAT HOUSE DISCUSSION category for it will benefit newcomers! GLAD to have ya aboard saq! cheers Joe...
