liquid nail for attaching pet mesh

I am using liquid nail to glue  pet mesh onto some osb baffles. So far it has been very easy to use. It also works well to stretch the mesh tight to the surface. I apply a bead around the perimeter of the mesh and in vertical strips about every 2 inches. I am also using a few stainless steel staples as well.

In the past I've used a clear caulking to attach regular fiberglass mesh to plywood baffles with good results.

I've wondered if during high temps the liquid nail or caulking my soften a bit and bother the bats as they grip it.

These bat houses will have a few months for the glue to cure before usage from bats.

I just wondered if anyone had any pros or cons on using liquid nail to attach the mesh?

I can't see anything bad about using liquid nails. I am in the construction industry and have used it often, there is hardly anything that bonds better. I don't think that heat or cold will affect it very much at all. Although I agree with giving the house some time to "breathe" before installing it, since it does have a slight odor for a while.
