When ever some one posts in a thread that I am subscribed to?
Should I get a email?

Never got one from here either so it must be turned off at the admin level. I know it was available in even older versions of phpBB since the metal casters forum uses 2005 phpBB and they work over there.

William, this is the only website I am on where I do not get notifications of new postings to the threads I am subscribed to. :oops:

You can log in, the access your user control panel and set up your preferences, etc. Check it out to see if that will help do what you want.

Frank, I think I have tried that a few times and still no email notifications.

Click preferences, then edit posting defaults. It should then notify you when a reply is posted. Does that do what you want?

Is any one else getting emails at home when some one replies to a thread?

I just reset mine so will know if mine works to notify me the next reply I get.

No I did not. Take a look at everything else. I am an old biker retired. I guess we don't know how to get emails when there is a reply.
I used to I think, then I am not sure about it.

By default, phpBB will only send one notification email to each user subscribed to the topic when someone replies. Additional replies will not send more notifications UNTIL the user visits the topic again.

1) User subscribes to a topic
2) Someone replies to the topic and a notification email is sent out
4) Someone else replies to the topic, no notification email is sent
5) User visits the topic again
6) Someone replies to the topic, so another single email is sent out.
Repeat.

Info from another forum:

You are receiving this notification because you are watching the forum,
"Personal Ads" at "Lunesdale Sub-Aqua Club 138". This forum has received a
new topic since your last visit, "TEST - Do Not Delete". You can use the
following link to view the forum, no more notifications will be sent until
you visit the forum topic.

Yet another: This topic has received a reply since your last visit. You can
use the following link to view the replies made, no more notifications will
be sent until you visit the topic

Would you guys test the above scenarios before I search for other reasons for this topic reply email notification issue thanks.... :thumbup:

I am subscribed to this topic and have been for weeks since Markcuda first brought the issue up. An " Unsubscribe topic" link now appears at the very bottom where a "Subscribe topic" is on most other topics. (Just went back to the new rescued pup thread to confirm this)

I have never received a topic reply notification from this forum period, yet they work on other forums. The metal casters one works almost exactly like you have outlined except that posting in a topic automatically subscribes you to it.

I suspect an email issue with your hosting company if you have this turned on in your admin interface.
