Hello All!

We just received a beautiful bat box as a gift.  There is already an established colony living about 100 yards away from where we would like to mount it.  Is this too close for comfort for the pre-existing colony?  The location we have picked is (unfortunately) the only location available on our property suitable for a bat house.

Welcome! There is no such thing as too close...........the closer you are to an existing colony, the quicker you will get bats roosting in your new box.
