I decided to take a peek in the bat house today just to see. I have only looked in it a couple times as I am not expecting much action this year but who knows. Anyway I thouht I saw something in the bottom right side but couldn't tell what it was. I went and got my camera and got a couple shots. It looks like maybe a spider nest or something, I am not sure what it was but I don't think it's a bat.

Scott, I was going to start a new thread but replying to this one is good enough.
I just was out side(9:00P.M.) and just saw two bats in my yard.
I was so exited, chills were in my body
Now, not saying I have them in my houses, just saw them flying gracefully around my yard for about 4 minutes, then they were gone.
I have lived at this house for 23 years, can't remember ever seeing bats flying around.
Any poop under the house?

I haven't seen any guano yet, but there are weeds grown up all around the pole the house is on. I applied round up last week and plan on putting some light colored stone/gravel around the bottom. I am acting slowly because the pole that the house is on is on State Park property. I didn't ask for permission from the park to put the house up. The pole itself is owned by the electric company and they told me I could put it on there pole. The park has never complained about me mowing that area for the past ten years, so I hope they don't complain about the bat house.

And, Marcuda ... I felt your chills when I read about them. Bats will do that to you. : )
