Big brown bats and spring peepers

Postby Terry Lobdell » Fri Mar 18, 2011 9:14 pm

Last night I had my first big brown bats roosting.......

This evening was the first night I've heard spring peepers.......

This is the third year in a row that the sound of peepers singing happens on about the same day I have big browns roosting......

I must admit that I had to look up spring peepers Terry. One is never too old to learn something new. Now I know. Thanks for posts and congrats on the Big Browns. I now have a couple of houses full of bats. I'll try to count them on exit tomorrow eve. Last count was 70, more now judging from the guano.

Yeah, when we hear that sound up here we know that spring has arrived!
