Hi all I have a request of you which will benefit the forum immensely. When you start a new topic please do your best to choose words which are relevant to what your describing (most of you do this anyway) especially topic spelling which helps immensely in our search engine rankings. The forum has shown its most growth in the last 4 years since I started using search engine optimization (SEO) and especially in the last 2 years since I improved upon it. Each time you start a new topic its name will appear in a new URL which is re-written and includes your chosen New Topic name within the URL. This is how awesome and effective it is:

A topic started by Frank in "Bat House Discussion" bats still here after thanksgiving

Without being in quotes the latter topic ranks as following:

Google: first page and at top of page #1 ranking WOW!

Searching for: bats still thanksgiving first page and at top of page #1 ranking

Bing: first page and at top of page #1 ranking WOW!

Searching for: bats still thanksgiving first page and fourth. Still outstanding!


You can see the importance of this and how it helps this site. Google primarily uses sites that link to you as its primary factor in raising your page and site rankings. A few sites do link to us but not that many after all this is about bats which could also refer to baseball and our under appreciated bats of course. However, we the forum are on the first page on many/most search strings without putting the string in quotes. This is outstanding and will further our growth enabling us to help bats.
