I have been watching a pair or 3 bats outside my living room window for last 30mins.
What type of bat would it be ?
What do they feed. Can i feed it something if i hang it out of my window ?

It is not possible to tell what kind of bat it is without a good description or picture. You don't say where you are located -- there are various bats in different regions of the country.
They are most probably busy feeding on insects of some type near your house. We have night lights on all night long, and the bats frequently feed under them catching various night-flying insects. They also fly nightly over our pasture collecting mosquitoes, and over the fields collecting corn borers and bean beetles.
You don't want to hang anything out that would interefere with their normal feeding habits. They use echolocation to get the bugs they need, and anything you do would interrupt that.
