I am in metro Atlanta, Lithia Springs and have had Little Browns here many years now. I keep close watch on them and it is usually around 5 weeks when they begin flying and about six to 7 weeks from the first pup I sight until they all are flying. They don't all fly at the same time since they are not all born on the same day. Of course, I have multiple houses so they may be different colonies and different arrival times thus different delivery times. I have observed that they all fly at nearly the same time within a week or so even though in different bat houses. Their first flight or so is something to watch as you can see they are novices at flying.
I got my calender out tonight on a specific bat house which indicted the date of the first pups I spotted in that house until some pups flew out tonight.
First pup was spotted May 20 and about half flew out of the house tonight June 16. That is 27 days for the first group to fly. So I think most will start to fly about 4 weeks after they are born as Terry said. Edited on June 16,2011
